Hard Clams in Barnegat Bay

Hard clams have long been part of the social, economic and cultural fabric of Barnegat Bay, New Jersey. In 2012, the hard clam stock declined by 24% relative to where it was in the mid-1980’s. Three Rutgers Filmmaking students, in collaboration with documentary filmmaker Robert Fenz, follow a team of scientists as they attempt to rebuild clam populations in Barnegat Bay.

The project is a part of a Barnegat Bay Partnership working with scientist, Dr. Daphne Munroe.
